Refund & Cancellation Policy

Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies exclusively to subscription fees paid by Stores for access to the VDOlocal platform. It does not apply to transactions between Stores and their customers, which are governed solely by the Store's own policies.
Please read this policy carefully before taking a subscription. By subscribing to the Platform, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Subscription Plans & Billing
- Photo Storefront (Basic): ₹4,130 per month (inclusive of applicable GST).
- Photo + Video Storefront (Video+): ₹5,900 per month (inclusive of applicable GST).
Subscriptions are billed on a monthly billing cycle unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Subscription fees are charged for access to the Platform and its infrastructure, not for guaranteed business outcomes.
Free Trial
VDOlocal may offer a seven (7) day free trial at its discretion to allow Stores to evaluate the Platform.
No payment is required during the free trial period; therefore, no refund arises during the trial.
A Store may skip the free trial and subscribe to a paid plan immediately.
VDOlocal reserves the right to modify or discontinue free trials at any time.
Cancellation by Store
A Store may cancel its subscription at any time through account settings or by contacting VDOlocal support.
Upon cancellation, access to the Platform continues until the end of the current paid billing period.
Cancellation prevents future billing but does not affect the current billing cycle.
No refunds, partial refunds, or pro-rata refunds are provided for any unused portion of a billing period.
Refund Policy
Once a paid subscription has commenced and the Platform is accessed or used during the paid period, no refunds are applicable.
Refunds are not dependent on usage levels, business performance, customer response, or sales outcomes.
This policy follows standard practices of subscription-based digital platforms.
Plan Changes
Upgrade (Basic to Video+)
- Pro-rata charges apply for the remaining period of the current billing cycle.
- Access to Video+ features is granted upon successful payment.
- The billing cycle remains unchanged.
Downgrade (Video+ to Basic)
- Downgrade takes effect at the next renewal date.
- Video+ features remain available until the current billing period ends.
- Uploaded videos are retained for thirty (30) days after downgrade and may be permanently deleted thereafter.
- No refund or credit is provided for the price difference between plans.
Service Disruptions
VDOlocal does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Temporary disruptions may occur due to maintenance, upgrades, third-party service failures, or events beyond reasonable control.
Service disruptions do not entitle Stores to refunds, credits, or subscription extensions.
Failed Payments
Failed payments may be retried in accordance with payment gateway policies.
Continued failure may result in suspension or restricted access.
Initiating chargebacks without contacting support may lead to account suspension or termination.
Chargebacks
Filing a fraudulent or unjustified chargeback with a bank or payment provider may result in immediate suspension of the Store's account and permanent removal from the Platform.
VDOlocal reserves the right to take appropriate action, including account termination, where chargebacks are found to be excessive, abusive, or in violation of these policies.
If a Store has a genuine dispute regarding a charge or billing issue, the Store is strongly encouraged to contact VDOlocal support first and attempt to resolve the matter amicably before initiating a chargeback.
Data Retention After Cancellation
Store data, including storefront configuration, images, videos, and product information, may be retained for up to thirty (30) days after subscription expiry.
After this period, data may be permanently deleted and may not be recoverable.
